From painted trucks to skylines.

I'm Uzair Khan, an Art Director based in Dubai.

I come from Rawalpindi, Pakistan, where painting a truck is just something you do.

Men spend weeks covering them floor to ceiling. Florals, mirrors, calligraphy, color stacked on color. No brief. No client. Just the belief that if people are going to look, give them something worth seeing.

That was my first design school.

I didn't have the word for it then. But that standard never left me. Dubai felt like the same hunger, just with a skyline. The first time I came here it wasn't excitement. It was recognition.

I've been here ever since.
